The Marquis de Pontac developed this "racer" on base of the 2CV as a kit. The engine is enlarged from 425 to 500 cc.; it had then 25 hp. and reached a top of 130 km/h. More about the Pontac in:

This "425 SM" was deveolped by "Etablissements UMAP" in Bernon (Aube).

VP2000

Some people always think that it should be different.
Poncin SA from Charleville-Mézieres used the 2CV engine and some mechanic parts to make this 6x6 vehicle that can "drive" in snow, mud, swamps and water. Its measures 2,65 x 1,7 m.; 20 cm. free from the ground. Maximum speed is 55 km/h. Weight 500 kgs.
