Two Dutch: Johan van der Laan and Wim Graal started 6 september 1997 with this 2CV (1958) in Peking for the rallye to Paris. The 2CV is modified with many AMI parts.

Via Mongolia, China, Tibet, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkye, Greece, Italy, Switzerland and Germany they arrived in the French capital Paris after 45 days 18 october 1997.

We've found a train deserted 25 years ago in Siberia, we've brought the load to Holland, and now we are going to sell these cars in excellent condition for the original price: NLG 4.000; that's about USD 2100.

The first of several specials, this white/orange 2CV4 with the name "Spot" was sold in Holland in a number of 500. Other countries had also a limit. This dealer "van Velde" in Leiden expected a lot of it !

This was the first interior with grey canvas.

This is the first official exported 2CV, as shown next to the Tractions on the RAI car exhibition in March 1952 in Amsterdam.

In the seventies there was a call for the old simple 2CV in stead of the 2CV4 and 2CV6. So Citroën came in 1975 with the yellow Spécial based on the 2CV4.
Two years later the red Spécial on base of the 2CV6 was presented.

Laundry Palthe needed a higher car because of the clothes on coat-
hangers. 30 of these cars were made.

Many Citroën dealers used an AZU as service-car. This one belonged to the importer. The painting was from Karel Suyling, who also designed many advertisements for the 2CV and other Citroëns.

On this picture from Eindhoven you see a lot of people in / around the 2CV. Later there were several attempts to break the worldrecord for the highest number of people in an 2CV.

This Belgium build car is a mixture between the AZL and the AK350. It was the successor of the AZUL.
