| Not an icecream from the Citroën
factory, but one from Ola. This sort of icecream was named "Eppo", which
is the figure that's driving the "2CV" while eating the icecream. And Eppo
is a comic-figure that appeared every week in the comic magazine "Eppo".
The car Eppo drives is always a 2CV, a car that attracts funny people and
always gets a laugh.... The icecream wasn't a big succes, I never saw it
afterwards!

Although
I don't smoke, I do have an ashtray. I bought this ashtray on the Citromobile
in Utrecht in 1997. It is a commercial ashtray, a give away present to
customers I presume, from the firm "Vercolor" from Arras in Northern France.
The text on the cars says "VERCOLOR" and "taPiflex", the other text is
unreadable. The cars have numbers, the HY has no. 22, the AZU's 24 and
25, so it must have been quite a business. The size of the ashtray is 130
mm. from top to bottom, the height above the table at the corners: 22 mm.
On the bottom there is a round "stamp" with a sign and the letters: "Rumilly"
and "Ornamine" and the number 904.
"Vercolor" was selling carpets. Should they still exist? If one of you knows, please mail me about it. |

| A plastic bag from Belgium (about 1980), the text on one side in Dutch, on the other in French: "CITROËN, SUCH A SERVICE!!". The size of the plastic bag is: 321 x 394 mm.; the size of the image on the bag is: 250 x 145 mm. The drawing is copyright © by Publiart, and shows a female figure from a comic books series, I have to look up who she is, and who is the artist. Or do one of you know? |
| From the same source (Citroën Belgium (about 1980), a refreshment cloth, the text on one side in Dutch (verfrissingsdoekje), on the other in French. The size is: 60 x 80 mm. The girl is the same as on the plastic bag above. |
