| This comic appeared daily in the newspaper Algemeen Dagblad in 2003. It's called "Het Oor van Gogh", which reflects to the ear which the famous painter from the 19th century cut off his own head. Because I only saved the strips in which artist Martin Lodewijk used a 2CV I cannot tell you the complete story, but only what I remember of it.... |

| director
Van Gogh museum: It would not surprise me if Van Gogh's Ear was the
real goalof the burglary in 1991... And now an examination will take place
I thought....
Agent 327: Thanks Mr. Topwijk! We'll keep you informed. (the woman is Olga Lawina, a Swiss agent) |
???:
Barend is still waiting for us...
. |

| Agent
327: Direction Haarlemmerdijk Barend...Near the "Plein"....
Barend: Okidoki Mr. IJzerbroot (Agent 327's real name is "IJzerbroot", which could be translated into "Ironbreat") |
Agent 327: Dangerous drivers, where's the fire?! |

| Barend: He's going the same direction as we do!!... I get an annoying feeling! | Agent 327: Café Zilt, just like I thought!. |

| Reporter:
...there has been a rumour about a short-circuit in the jukebox....
Fireman: The customers could save theirselves, with their glasses.... Agent 327: And the bartender? Fireman: He tried to keep himself wet with beer... but alas.... Spectator 1: This was a seamansbar! And the captain is going down with his ship!! Spectator 2: Hat off, boys. |

| Agent
327: You should say that someone is one step ahead of us to wipe out
all traces of the false-real Van Gogh!
Olga Lawina: Now only the seaman remains.... |
Friend

Friend 2: ? Friend 3: You're in a hurry? Theo: Hey! What are you doing...MBLFMFKUCHMF!!? |

| Waiter: Mr. just
orderde a box cigarettes...
Friend 2: A little stunt for his new movie?! Friend 3: An action of non-satified non-smokers?!.. |
Theo:
BMLFF!!?
driver: We're outside town!..At work in the back! |
Theo: HEY!!?! STOP THAT?!! WHO ARE YOU?! HANDS OFF ME, DIRTY BASTERD!! HANDS OFF!! STOP!!!?! |

| Comment: In the last
comic strip we see that Theo is being kidnapped from an Amsterdam terrace,
because he's a far relative of the 19th century painter Van Gogh.
In real life: Theo van Gogh was a well known artist who made films, wrote newspaper columns and much more. And in November 2004 Theo van Gogh was killed on an Amsterdam streets by a muslim extremist who did not approve the films of Theo van Gogh and his comments on the way muslim extremists behave.... So in the comic there was a good ending for Theo van Gogh, not in real life..... |
