| IES = Industrias Eduardo Sal-Lari, this
company started building 2CV's in the early eighties.Through the
years they changed a lot of details, like the platform chassis into a tubular
one. Then the 2CV was named (Super) America.
On this tubular frame they also built the IES Gringa, which seems to be inspired on the Méhari or even more the Tangara (built by Teilhol in France) The photos above show a Gringa 1989. Other version were a closed van (Furgon) and the Gringo 4x4 of which only a few were built. The pictures were found on the internet in cars4sale site from Argentina. |
