To get a BX for free for a year the players had to do a little in return, like Frank Verlaat is doing on this picture in front of his car. "RIJ DE KLEUREN VAN AJAX" means "Drive the colors of Ajax", in the hope that many of the Ajax supporters would buy a Citroën too.Mark the "sportive" spoiler at the rear and the "hot-pants"of Frank Verlaat. So in those days this was a young talent, Yvonne van Gennip" who got an AX to drive to the ice-skating rings. I don't know if it was for this little Citroën, but it might have helped her, because a little later she won 3 gold medals at the Olympic Winter Games in Calgay Canada in 1988 (3000 m., 1500 m. and 5000 m.). | |
